This is for DoubleScoop [link] It was his idea to start with. A little something that came up in a Halloween chat a few weeks ago . . . hell, a month ago. But anyway, I always say, better late than pregnant.

The drawing is all free hand pen using Pigma Microns. The text was added in Photoshop. But it's only text. So it still counts as traditional. Bleah.

a ha ha ha...a prostate nugget with a machete! You should do a colon with a Freddy glove.

Nice work smiley. I agree with above statement. Hand work for many art styles just doesn't cut it in digital. I'm glad it doesn't.
Not only is the drawing well done, but the message is true. I like the "IT'S COMING CAN'T BE STOPPED' Both humorous and deadly serious at the same time.

Thanks a lot. My uncle actually had some surgery a few years ago...they caught it early enough to do something about it. He's fine now. Just turned 60 last month.

Thanks. I'm about nine years away from my regular thumb-in-the-bum checkups myself. Hence my signature.

I hear ya--I'm 53---how did that happen : ) Seems like I blinked my eye and here I am. It does go as fast as I've been told it does.
Glad your Uncle is doing well. ; )

This just goes to show you, guys, that if you don't take care of your prostate... One day, it may take care of YOU! (And a bunch of teenage campers, too!)

What can I say, Smileypen? MAGNIFICENT! Hahaha, that's really good, and actually looks like it could serve as a straight-up add for prostate health and awareness! I really like the way you indicated the texture and contour of the surface using fine hatching and negative space, it's time consuming, but it's worth it for the great effect! That's one of those ways in which digital art just can't match traditional media very easily, because there's an effect that comes from an artist working on shading using a fine pen that is just really hard to get using anything digital, and it's that sort of style that really defined the best days of black and white illustration, taking one back to classic Mad Magazine and EC Comics. Not to mention you did a great job with the details and rendering on all the objects in general, especially the machette! Everything looks tight, and it really works as a picture, which is not easy to achieve when dealing with secretionary glands. (!!!) Not to mention, when one contemplates this image in depth (and one must) the fact arises that if that is a human-sized hockey mask, this prostate gland is REALLY redefining the term "enlarged prostate!" Enlarged... And enraged! Great work, great work, a combination of horror and men's health issues, two great tastes that taste great together!
